Colts Trade 1st-Round Pick for Trent Richardson

Trent Richardson, Kavell ConnerOn Wednesday, the Indianapolis Colts shocked the world by sending their 2014 1st-round pick to the Cleveland Browns for Trent Richardson.

The news seemed to come out of nowhere, but Jim Irsay did start the storm with a few tweets.

In his short time with the Browns, Richardson rushed for 1,055 yards and 11 touchdowns.

This was a move that made many heads turn, but with the Browns it appears that it came down to Richardson not fitting in with the new management’s plan.

After losing Vick Ballard for the season, many expected the Colts to add another running back, but not of Richardson’s caliber.

It will be interesting to see how this trade plays out, but at the moment it looks like a good trade for the Colts.

They have now added a running back that can grow with Andrew Luck and the rest of a very young offense.
